Your Best Self Defense Products is owned by LAC Marketing Manuals. We’re based in Toronto, Canada – even though all the products we sell are sourced from within the United States.

Whether or not you we want to accept it, we live in a dangerous world and it’s becoming more dangerous every day. That’s no reason to live in fear, but it’s a very good reason to be sensible about our actions, to develop good safety habits and teach them to our children, to be prepared for emergencies and when necessary to have the products available to us that will help with all these things. Our company mission is this:

Shipping

Most products are shipped by UPS ground within the lower 48 states.  We will not ship any pepper spray or stun weapons outside of the United States or to any County, city or State where we are not – by law- permitted to do so – please don’t even ask!

For products that can be shipped into Canada, there will be an extra charge for all shipping and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to cover any duties or brokerage fees charged by the courier companies.  If you refuse these charges, we will deduct any penalties charged to us before we refund your purchase.  If you are charged GST which we have already collected, please pay the courier and we will re-imburse you for the extra GST.

Privacy Policy

We respect and honor your privacy and you can rest assured that will will NEVER sell, rent, loan, share, give or in ANY way provide your information to any other organization.  The only possible exception will be information provided to law enforcement organizations in accordance with Federal and State Laws.

If you join our mailing list, we will send no more than 18 emails over any 12 month period and never more than two in any one month.  Our mail list is 100% opt in and you may opt out whenever you choose.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for individual consumer and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by sending an e-mail, calling or writing, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company. For customers and subscribers who choose to opt into our lists, we promise to limit our communications to a maximum of two emails per month and usually less from LAC Marketing.

Terms of Use Statement

You understand and agree that the owners of this site shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data or other intangible losses (even if the owners of this site have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from the use or the inability to use the product(s) and or service(s) or any misuse of the product(s) and or service(s) in a manner not in accordance with their intended use.

Returns, Refund and Exhange Policy

Defective products: We will accept returns of defective product for replacement for up to 90 days after the date of the invoice. If the product warranty extends beyond 90 days, please contact us within the warranty period.  Please contact us before returning your product you must get an authorization number before our suppliers will accept the return.  For your protection we recommend that returns be shipped with tracking information and insurance*. If it is sent by postal service, use delivery confirmation and insure the package. If going by UPS you can use regular ground service. Insurance is not needed unless the shipment exceeds $100 in value. The cost to ship the replacement product(s) back to you will be paid by LAC Marketing Manuals. Please test the product(s) before returning to us. Many items shipped back to us as defective work fine; some after doing something as simple as putting in new batteries. If an item is returned to us and found to be working the customer will have to pay return shipping charges. Also the item must not show signs of abuse or misuse and all parts and accessories must be included.

Damaged Goods: We will accept the return of damaged goods provided the damage is reported within 5 business days of receipt of your order.  Please contact info@yourbestselfdefenseproducts.com, or use the contact form on our Contact Us page or phone 416- 671-1979, to report the damage. We will arrange to have a return authorization number provided to you, to facilitate your product return.  Damaged products will be replaced and LAC Marketing Manuals will re-imburse you for the return shipping.

Simple returns:  Sorry. Due to the policies of our suppliers we do not accept returns and no refunds will be issued.
